Notice is hereby given that the Southern Shores Town Council will hold a Special Meeting at 3:00 p.m. on Friday January 22nd , 2016 in the Pitts Center located at 5377 N. Virginia Dare Trail Southern Shores, NC 27949. The purpose of the Special Meeting includes, but shall not be limited to conducting public hearings, participating in deliberations, or voting upon or otherwise transacting the public business of the Town pursuant to the following agenda items, as well as any other lawful purpose for which the Town could hold a Regular Meeting:

1. To consider and potentially adopt or deny, upon second reading, the following proposed ordinances, each of same having received a first reading and approval by a majority of the Council members at its January 5, 2016 Regular Meeting pursuant to public hearings held on same date:
a. Application for Zoning Text Amendment ZTA-15-03: Drive Through Facilities ZTA-15-03 PB Recommended Drive Throughs
b. Application for Zoning Text Amendment ZTA-15-04: Group Developments ZTA-15-04 Group Developments
c. Application for Zoning Text Amendment ZTA-15-05: Pervious Pavement & Lot Coverage ZTA-15-05 PB Recommended Pervious Pavement & Lot Coverage

2. To hold a Public Hearing for each of the following, and review, consider, discuss, modify, and potentially adopt or not adopt, any (or combination) of the following different proposals for zoning ordinance amendments designed to regulate large homes in compliance with recent legislative amendments:
a. Staff proposed Zoning Text Amendment ZTA-16-02: Large Structures 14-person Occupancy ZTA-16-02 Large Structures 14Occupancy
b. Staff proposed Zoning Text Amendment ZTA-16-03: Large Structures Maximum Square Footage of 6,000 sf ZTA-16-03 Large Structures Max. Sq. Ft
c. Staff Proposed Zoning Text Amendment ZTA-16-04: Large Structures Graduated Square Footage Limits and Maximums ZTA-16-04 Large Structures Graduated Sq. Ft

3. An initial agenda item for general Public Comment will be scheduled for this Special Meeting ahead of all public business to be considered for transaction; and

4. To enter into closed session, if needed, to discuss either of the above items with the Town Attorney in a manner preserving the attorney client privilege pursuant to N.C.G.S. 143-318.11(a)(3).
