SEPTIC INFORMATION

In Southern Shores, in the majority of instances, sewage is handled through on-site, private septic systems. The Dare County Environmental Health Services handles all environmental – septic permits. The closest office to Southern Shores is the satellite office in Kill Devil Hills, 2601 North Croatan Highway (corner of 158 By-Pass and Walker Streets).
