Message from Southern Shores Police Dept.

Several motor vehicles were entered overnight, all vehicles were unlocked, there was no forced entry. Cash and other valuables were taken from some of these vehicles. Some of the areas included Sea Oats Lane, Chicahauk Tr, Clamshell Tr. And Wax Myrtle. We ask anyone living in the noted areas that may have security style cameras on their property to review if possible to see if there maybe something of interest for law enforcement or if you noticed something last night to please call the Southern Shores Police Dept. non-emergency ph# - 252-261-3331. We also once again would ask that folks please lock your vehicles and don’t leave anything of value in your vehicle, especially in plain sight.
